Bartolomeo
The piano was first invented in 1700 by Bartolomeo Cristofori. He called it “clavicembalo col piano e forte,” meaning “a harpsichord that can play soft and loud noises.” Obviously, this was shortened to “piano,” and a variety of styles- from spinet to baby grand-have been developed since.
Bartolomeo stands approximately 12 inches tall and is handstitched using recycled wool sweaters. He is stuffed with recycled denim.
