Henry Holtgrewe immigrated from Germany to Cincinnati at age 22. There he found work as a saloon keeper. He competed in strength competitions and came to be known as “Cincinnati Strong Man” and “West End Hercules.” In 1896, he lifted a platform loaded with 1600 pounds of dumbbells, 20 men and Jack, the Red’s pet monkey.
This strong pig stands 12”tall. He is constructed and dressed in recycled wool and stuffed with recycled denim.
